Regulations for Transfer of Ownership with the World Animal Lineage Association (WALA)
ransfer of Ownership is the official process that records the change of legal ownership of a pedigreed animal, safeguarding the rights of the new owner and maintaining the integrity of the pedigree’s ancestral lineage.
Transfer Procedures:
Authorization of Previous Owner: Transfer of ownership is a bilateral agreement and can only be executed with the explicit authorization of the owner currently registered on the pedigree. This authorization must be formalised by the previous owner directly on the original pedigree, within the designated transfer section.
Payment Deadline: The transfer fee must be paid within 2 calendar days following the online application submission. Failure to complete payment within this timeframe may require submitting a new service request. Please refer to updated rates on our Taxas page.
Processing Times: System updates and digital delivery of the updated pedigree take up to 2 business days from the time payment is confirmed and all required documentation is received.
Incomplete Documentation: If the submitted pedigree or provided details contain errors, alterations, or incomplete information, processing will be placed on hold and will resume only after all corrected documentation is received.
Mailing Address: The address provided in the application form will serve as the destination address for all physical documents related to the requested services.
Applicant Responsibility: The applicant bears sole responsibility for the accuracy and truthfulness of all information and documentation provided at the time of application.
