Essential Litter Registration Checklist

Before submitting a litter application, ensure that both parents possess recognized pedigree credentials and that your kennel or cattery affix is active with WALA. Review the official regulatory articles below.

01 Essential Breeder & Parentage Requirements

1.1 – Active Breeding Registration: The breeder must hold an active and regular breeding facility/prefix registration with the World Animal Lineage Association (WALA).

1.2 – Dam Ownership (Mother): The female (dam) must have an officially recognized pedigree, and the ownership record must be registered under the breeding facility owner submitting the litter.

1.3 – Sire Documentation (Father): The male (sire) must have a recognized pedigree. If the sire belongs to a third party, the owner of the dam must submit a signed mating authorization (stud service certificate) from the sire’s registered owner.

02 Naming Offspring & Affix Association
Each offspring’s registered name must obligatorily include the registered kennel/cattery prefix (affix). The breeder may choose to position the affix as a prefix (before the animal's individual name) or as a suffix (after the animal's name).
03 Payment Terms (2 Calendar Days)
The litter registration fee must be completed within 2 calendar days following application submission. Failure to pay within this timeframe may require a new service application. Please check current fee rates on our Fees page.
04 Processing Times & Digital Pedigree Delivery
Processing and digital issuance of certified pedigrees take up to 2 business days following payment confirmation. Delivery times for physical printed certificates, if requested, depend on the selected postal/courier service.
05 Incomplete Documentation Protocol
If an application contains missing records, microchip mismatches, or incorrect parentage data, processing will be placed on hold. The standard processing timeline resumes only after corrected documentation is received and verified by WALA staff.
06 Document Shipping & Address Authorization
The shipping address submitted on the litter application form will be treated as the official, authorized delivery destination for all physical documents and certificates related to the requested litter.
07 Special Cases (Estate & Deceased Owner Succession)
In the event of an animal owner's death, transfer of ownership or litter registration under the deceased owner's stock can only be processed upon submission of relevant legal probate, estate administration, or inheritance documentation.
08 Applicant Responsibility & Truthfulness
All information provided during litter registration—including birth dates, coat colors, sex, microchips, and parental lineages—is the sole, exclusive legal responsibility of the requesting breeder.
